How do you spend your day?

The first thing I do at work is to list up what to do. I prioritize and handle tasks accordingly.I discuss with colleagues via the in-house messenger, phone calls, or face-to-face meetings, and I also go on business trips as needed to work more efficiently.

Please introduce your team and the work you are in charge of.

Currently, I am in charge of EPC business management in the plant business management team. The tasks of the business management team are divided into bidding tasks for project orders and performing tasks for project operation after winning the bid. The bidding work will be conducted under the supervision of the business management team and with the help from the concerned divisions. The final bid can be submitted after reviewing the estimation standard of the client and the calculation of the quantity and amount. The performance task includes budgeting/scheduling/designing/purchasing/licensing management for the project. We conduct management tasks to ensure that the project is completed within the limited schedule and budget.

When do you feel rewarded while at work? Tell me about the experience.

I try to find fulfillment in the small things. For example, I manage my tasks by writing them down in a notebook, and there's a sense of accomplishment when I complete a task and cross it off the list. It's kind of like finishing quests in a game. Also, while I work on a project, key tasks like licensing require a lot of paperworks for over a month. When I complete these tasks as planned, I feel a great sense of pride.

Did you ever feel like you improved because you are a part of the company/organization?

I am working hard to enhance my skills through the training programs offered by our company. I take online language courses or join various job-related training programs, and also enroll in external training programs at outside institutions. During the LESSONS LEARNED presentations, I gain a lot of insight from the experiences others have had while managing projects.

What are some things that boost you up in a busy company life?

When I need a break from work, I have lunch with my colleagues or have a cup of coffee to refresh. I feel refreshed talking to my coworkers and I get good ideas from discussing tricky issues.

Can you advise the future coworkers on what to study and what skills to develop to do this job?

The Project Management team is responsible for planning and operating projects to ensure their successful completion within thight schedule and limited resources. So, you should have a broad perspective and knowledge across project management. I recommend participating in plant training for college students, and also acquiring a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, which I believe would be beneficial in performing project management jobs.
